A Colors Encore
Original abstract painting | Mixed media, oil sticks, and lime powder on raw cotton canvas | 100 x 100 cm | Framed in natural oak
A color never truly ends.
It lingers like an after-song—
returning in memory, in feeling,
in the way light shifts and calls it back again.
A Color’s Encore is about a returning presence—
a shade appearing again in a new light,
a season, a moment.
Like finding your way back to yourself,
to your essence,
to the roots that hold you.
Earthy browns, beiges, and olive tones ground the piece,
layered with pastel orange, soft pink, and yellow.
Mint-like washes drift gently across the surface,
while marks in deep sage and airy light yellow move like echoes—
gestures of what once was,
reappearing in a new form.
I created this work as a meditation on memory and return—
on how nothing truly leaves us.
Like color, it circles back in different shades,
reminding us of what remains,
and what is worth remembering.
May it guide you into the quiet recognition
that what is essential cannot be lost.
It lives within you—
returning, again and again,
until you remember.
This original painting is part of Roots Of Self.
