A Moment Alone
Original abstract painting | Mixed media with structure paste and sand on raw cotton canvas | 25 x 30 cm | Framed in natural oak
There is a quiet music in solitude—
the rhythm of breath,
the sway of thought,
the softness of simply being.
A Moment Alone is about that space:
moody yet alive,
like a garden after dusk,
where shadows deepen and colors hum.
Textured layers of structure paste and sand
create a surface that feels raw, grounded,
yet full of hidden movement.
Light drifts across the canvas in shifting tones,
evoking both stillness and syncopation—
a visual echo of jazz,
a rhythm that carries you inward.
I created this piece as a reflection on presence—
on the richness found in solitude,
on how a single quiet moment
can open into something vast.
