„Everything I need already exists in me.“ This is a phrase I repeat to myself often whenever I seek validation from the outside.

Originally its part of a poem of Rupi Kaur, a well known female writer, who inspired me with her poem „home“.

We often have the feeling that we need signs from outside to proof our own worth. But when we look closely we can see that everything we need already exists inside of us. Whenever we feel worthy, good enough and secure within us, we don’t need validation from the outside world.

I started this abstract painting to remind myself to find inner peace. I know that nothing can affect me when I feel stable inside. Different colors and shades mix smoothly with soft textures, making a rich surface for this beautiful hand-stitched work of art.
